“I became aware of Madison when my daughter signed up to
work with her. I watched and listened to her working with Madison and saw the
results she was getting. Then several people in our gym (AYM CrossFit) signed
up to work with Madison. Again, I watched and saw their progress and the gains
they were making in the gym. This piqued my interest enough that I decided to
sign up and work with Madison in June 2019. THE BEST decision (health wise)
I’ve ever made. My initial goal was to become stronger in the gym. I was ok
with my weight give or take 5-10 pounds and had absolutely no idea I would lose
much or lose inches. I did weigh at the beginning but took no measurements. I
am a person who has always been active and when I set my mind to it thought I
pretty much knew how to eat healthy. Well……. How wrong I was. Since working
with Madison, I have realized just how much I had to learn. Madison has guided
me every step of the way, giving me options, suggesting other foods, adjusting
portions all while allowing for the occasional not so healthy treat. I opt for
eating out at lunch every day and she was so helpful in working with my limited
options of restaurants in my small town and finding ways to eat the right kinds
of food at each one. I have learned that when I leave home for a day out
shopping, I prepare a small cooler with snacks and water so I will not be
tempted by less healthy options. Even when it came to our annual family camping
trip, I was able to take things that were healthy and could be cooked by the campfire
and of course I had a smore’. Learning to have a healthy LIFESTYLE is the key
to success. Madison has shared her knowledge of how food is fuel for our bodies
and how the combinations of these foods will produce the results we seek. Since
June until December I have lost 18 lbs and not sure how many inches but as you
can see from the photos it has been several. These were not even goals I set in
the beginning but I’m sure excited and happy about them. Now for the goals I
did set; to get stronger in the gym. I have increased in my deadlift, back
squat, hang clean, overhead squat, push jerk, push press, shoulder press, split
jerk, my number of pull-ups has drastically increased and I am able to do a
handstand push-up with the modification of two ab mats under my head. To say I
am excited is an understatement. If any of you reading this are in the 50’s
club and think you cannot achieve healthy goals, well think again, YOU CAN!
Joining AYM CrossFit at 50 and joining with Madison at 55 has been life changing
for me. This has been such a fun, rewarding journey and I am more excited now
to see what 60 will bring me than at any other age in my life. Working hard is
necessary but when you pair it with NUTRITION the gains are phenomenal!!!  I have just finished my 6 month of working
with Madison and for the first time since I can remember I entered into the New
Year without the struggle of needing to lose weight, eat right or exercise
more.  If you’re ready to get off the
roller coaster of up and down weight, fad diets etc.….Madison is the one to
call!”
